Designing innovation From Concept to Reality

ECS Composites was established over 60+ years ago with the mission of engineering and delivering the highest quality shipping and foam cushioning solutions available. Our company was founded out of a desire to provide better options for protecting high valued items during transit, rather than the standard practice of using corrugated boxes or wooden crates. Unlike others in the industry, ECS has always maintained an in-house engineering staff, and we manufacture all our products within our Grants Pass, Oregon facility.

DESIGN

DESIGN

ECS Engineers and designers create CAD models and bill of materials (BOM) that can be used for: Customer validation/acceptance, Control tooling geometry, Running FEA, Tracking parts and materials, Creations and maintenance of production drawings.
REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS

ECS engineers personally examine all requirements for each project to determine the viability and plausibility
MATERIALS

MATERIALS

ECS Designs composite laminates to meet requirements. We also utilize other materials like stainless steel, aluminum (extrusions, machined, and cast), various unreinforced plastics (machined injected). Materials are selected to meet requirements, pass FEA/Design Validation, Physical Testing, And to work in our tools and with our processes.
F.E.A.

F.E.A.

Finite element analysis is a numerical method that provides solutions to problems that would otherwise be difficult to obtain. In simple terms, FEA is a faster way to get results to problems that are hard to solve.
TESTING

TESTING

We stress test all of our designs to assure that the product will meet all of your requirements.
TOOLING

TOOLING

ECS Creates the tooling we use, in house, onsite. Our engineering team oversees the product design, tooling design, tool creation, and manufacturing for the products we produce.
PROCESSES

PROCESSES

ECS produces several products fully on site. Our engineers and designers are the team members that create, identify issues and modify our approaches to our production processes.

SYSTEMS INTEGRATION, MOBILE SOLUTIONS & CONTRACT MANUFACTURING

Portable, mobile, integrated systems have revolutionized how our government, commercial, aerospace, medical, and OEM clientele function.  Whether the solution you require is vehicle-mounted, contained in a custom enclosure, a transit case, or even a backpack, ECS will be there. As a total turn-key solution provider, we will absorb the burden of obtaining various required components, from multiple vendors, off your shoulders. Once you have shared your concept with us, our integration and engineering teams will identify the required bill of materials and produce the end item to your specification.

INVESTING IN THE FUTURE

At ECS we recognize the importance associated with continuously investing in the latest technologies, and we regularly allocate capital towards the purchase of manufacturing equipment and design software. To fulfill the diverse requests of our clients, we have struck partnerships with other vertically integrated suppliers, giving us a wide array of service offerings.
